The Surrey Local Immigration Partnership brings together over 80 community members representing 35 service providers from multiple sectors, community servicing organizations, and community members across Surrey, BC. This was an opportunity to share experiences and learn about collaboration, partnership building, community engagement, and anti-racism strategies to prepare the community to be more welcoming to newcomers. In addition to learning and engagement, this forum offered the opportunities for participants to share and discuss their own ideas for collective action with other forum attendees.
This year, the Community Stakeholder Forum was held in person at the Civic Hotel, Surrey on January 20th, 2023.
Stay tuned for a complete report on this forum in our next newsletter.
