More about the speaker, Len Pierre
Len Pierre is Coast Salish from Katzie (kate-zee) First Nation. Len is an educator, consultant, TEDx Speaker, social activist, traditional knowledge keeper, and cultural practitioner. He just completed his Masters of Education degree from Simon Fraser University focusing on curriculum and instructional design. His experience includes Indigenous education and program leadership from various health organizations including the First Nations Health Authority, Fraser Health Authority, and the Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Addiction. As an agent for change, Len leads and advises for systemic transformation in universities across North America. He specializes in the development of educational programs and services with decolonization and reconciliation as its core values. He comes to us with an open heart and open mind and hopes to be received in the same way.

We are excited to announce a new event: Conversations on Anti-Racism, a week of meaningful dialogue around anti-racism.
Featuring a diverse list of influential voices, Conversations on Anti-Racism is a week-long online series focused on challenging racism through meaningful dialogue. From March 14 to 18, you will hear from a variety of guest speakers, each presenting on different topic under the theme of anti-racism. Join us, in partnership with Tri-Cities Local Immigration Partnership, Burnaby Intercultural Planning Table and North Shore Immigrant Inclusion Partnership, will be hosting a week of virtual discussions focused on the different aspects of anti-racism. Each event will feature a guest speaker and time for questions and answers overseen by a moderator. Join us for what is sure to be a week of impactful discourse
