The City of Surrey is the largest city in Metro Vancouver by land area and second most in population, with 511,545 residents. It is one of the fastest growing, most culturally diverse cities in Canada, with immigrants and refugees from around the world calling it home. In fact, 43% of the population are made up of immigrants (Source: Census 2016).

Indian, Chinese and Filipino immigrants comprise more than two-thirds of Surrey’s immigrant population.

Geographically, Surrey is bordered by 0 Avenue and the United States to the south, 196 Street to the east, the Fraser River to the north, and 120 Street and the Pacific Ocean coastline to the west.

Its diverse neighbourhoods, from City Centre (Whalley) to Newton to Guildford to Cloverdale to South Surrey, feature vibrant residential communities and amenities, from parks and playgrounds, to shopping and local business, to schools and post-secondary institutions.
